ARROWS WIN A THRILLING ANZ STATE LEAGUE GRAND FINAL IN OVERTIME
The Lexus Arrows showed why they are undefeated in 23 games straight with sheer determination and a fight for what’s right at STNA on Saturday afternoon.
The game had everything a Grand Final should, great ball skills, fine shooting, intercepts you wouldn’t believe, and a determination to win at all costs.
The teams went goal for goal practically the whole game and scores were level at full time.
Coach Andrew Jackson fired his team up at the final break with instructions to go out there and show everybody what you have been doing well all year and that is winning!!!!!!
The Arrows team responded and led by Captain Kate Costelloe they took charge and put together 14 minutes of sheer brilliance to leave Cavaliers struggling in their wake. Ten goals was the final margin, a mammoth effort. A great TEAM victory.
The final score Arrows 55 Cavaliers 45.
The win showed what a TEAM can do if they all pull together, work hard and believe in themselves.
Sophie Gunn GS for Arrows was named player of the final for a brilliant display of shooting with a percentage of 94.
